Our pisum sativum Pea “Hurst Green Shaft” seeds have remained a reliable traditional favourite for many years. These plants produce heavy yields of 10-12cm (4-4.5in) pods each containing up to 11 peas. The peas have a superb sweet flavour, and can be served alone as a side dish or added to stews, pastas, and risottos. They are also excellent for freezing. This variety is a great choice for exhibiting, and shows good resistance to downy mildew and fusarium wilt.
