1kg ‘International Kidney’ Seed Potatoes | Maincrop | Salad

Introduced in 1879, the solanum tuberosum International Kidney potatoes are also known as Jersey Royals when grown in Jersey- however Jersey claim to have very specific soil conditions that make their potatoes special, so they are given an alternative name elsewhere. The potatoes have a kidney shape with creamy flesh and skin with shallow eyes. They are a second early variety potato, however if left in the ground for longer they will bulk up to be harvested as a maincrop. The International Kidney has a great distinctive, almost buttery taste, and can be boiled or used in salads.
